Banks, Apps, and Online retail stores hope to make more money by attracting new clients and becoming more popular, so they are willing to take a short-term loss. Think of it as being paid for your time and their chance to sell you something. Referrers get compensated for "spreading the word".

As far as we know, yes. It is, however, illegal to SPAM your referral link. This app is not that. Users request your link and not the other way around.

Tax laws vary based on state/province. Federally, rebates on purchases are not generally taxed if the rebate is equal or lower than the amount spent - this would include cashback portals and almost all credit card sign up bonuses. However, investment and bank account bonuses are generally taxed. Also bonuses you get for referring someone are generally taxable. The bank will likely send you a T5 form (in Canada) or a 1099-INT form (in USA), although not always. This does not constitute tax advice, just a general rule-of-thumb.

We do not handle any payments. The company will pay you when you sign up and fulfill the terms or when a different app user signs up with your link. We just connect referrers and referees.

We do not sell your data! We benefit from referrals just like you do.

We respect your privacy. All we need is an e-mail address we can reach. You don't even need to give us your real name, although if we don't know the name you used to sign up for a particular deal, this might complicate any referral dispute resolution that might occur. Note also, that some deals will display your name, (part of or even your full) email address etc. on your referral link, thus making it accessible to us and to the user you happen to be referring.

Coins are used to prioritize links. It's simple: the user with the highest coin balance gets to benefit as a referrer! To get coins, sign up for the deals on the app and invite your others to join and use the app.
